I have been running this observatory remotely from Cairns for 11 years, initially it was located at Warrumbungle Observatory near the Siding Spring Observatory in New South Wales and more recently from a site outside the town of Dubbo in New South Wales. It has been managed by a professional astronomer, Peter Starr, and all this time and has been primarily used for supernova research. I am selling it as the supernova research has dried up. Our first preference would be sell the entire observatory to someone wants to run it remotely. Our second preference would be to sell the entire observatory to someone who wishes to relocate it elsewhere. Our final preference would be to sell of the sub-components as separate items. We will consider allowing potential buyers of the observatory to test the system remotely before purchasing.
