Now That's Big ! must be a Galaxy .

Hiya all !


This is the last of my shots from my recent trip to Coonabarabran and I wanted to share It with you all.

Taken with the ZS 66SD/.8 reducer with the SXV-H9C and guided with the ZS 110 on a G11 mount.

Exposures on this one were 5 minutes x 20 and AA3 used to capture,align&combine and CS2 for post processing.

gee its a pity you couldnt frame it a little more and gotten mor of it in, very nice!

what asimov said.

Its a hard object for us at this latitude so its great when someone manages to capture it

need a bigger CCD that's what !

And, we managed to view that magnificent site through those binoculars, too. What a brilliant night that was.

Fantastic image Louie, beautiful fine detail, you could get a little more in the frame by rotating the camera a few degrees.

This is one of my favourite Galaxies and you've done a wonderful job on it Louie.
I tried imaging this one through the TAK but I needed heaps more exposure and ran out of time.
You've picked up some excellent detail.
