M17 (aka Omega Nebula, Swan Nebula et al.) is a very popular imaging target and for good reasons. It has a lot to offer in terms of structure, detail and complexity. It is very bright which also offers challenges in taming the wide dynamic range.
Data for this image were collected during August and totals about 21 hours of integration time. Captured with my TSA120 OTA and ZWO ASI2600 MM camera (36mm Astronomik filter set). Didn't go the full narrowband with this one, just the traditional Ha L RGB. Image has been cropped from the original composition to improve (in my opinion) how the nebula is presented in the field.
