Rocking the young David Bowie look Alex.
And the Daniel Boone/Davy Crockett look.

Thanks Mike...I love it...I can highly recommend the genuine fur leather aviation cap (indeed the wig) as the perfect unit for astro related activity.

Check out UGC Australian Collection...$150 approx for the cap but super quality ...best leather you can get...

OK I have gone overboard in a buying Bing...

I blame the long wait for the guitar which has seriously sent me around the bend....and of course the steriods play their part...

I became obsessed with damascus steel knives...I love them..and finally focused on a particular one and could think of nothing else...I would not buy it but the girls became sick of me talking about it to the exclusion of all else...they took me aside and said.." you really must buy this knife so we can move on"... They were correct and I made the order and I stopped thinking about it. ..but then I just had to have another one I saw...so now two on the way...I can't believe it...All I can think is they will sit on a shelf as a reminder that a serious problem may not have a solution but less than dignified management will help curbe the obsessive behaviour.... ...

AND...leather pants...I always wanted "dress" leather pants ..the racing ones were just so cool but just for racing...so I ordered some brown leather pants...the girls call me crazy again...and awesome leather suspenders to match...and some ughbboots to match...and a flight jacket to match...and three Viking tomahawks...AND now I can't think of anything else...

So that cash set aside for bills has been squandered and now I know it will be a month or two of fielding debt collectors letters until things get back to normal...what ever that is these days for me....

And after purchase I noticed the second knife has a hideous bird motif that I really do not like...however in an effort to make it a happy ending I call it "folk" art that has the joy of presenting the most ordinary attempts at artificial embellishments as some how "cute" .... so check out my wonderful folk art....

Many years ago, my father was overseas in WW2, and visited Damascus as part of his deployment. He saw smiths making genuine Damascus steel in what he described as little square cubicles. He often spoke of the level of craftsmanship that could be achieved with simple tools and a dedication to the craft (he was an old carpenter from 'way back...)

Nice bit of steel Alex, well done mate.

Very nice knives Alex.
I admire the craftsmanship which goes into those things.
I formerly had journals of the iron and steel industry dating back to the late 1800s (and sequential). I ran out of space for my junk and gave them to an engineer friend I thought would value them, they lay around his workshop like worthless junk. All leather bound, I should have kept them. It's amazing how little change has been made in the industry over the years, the old ways are still the best ways for many processes.

Leather pants?
You need a bike if you still have a license (bike). Benelli make a nice little 125 that a 68 year old friend locally owns one of and he loves it. Not sure about full leathers on it but it's a nice little bike and they are quite cheap with a whole 11 horsepower. He tells me it's a real chick magnet but I think the magpies have been attacking as he rides.
