Grus trio of galaxies ngc7582, 7590,7599

Hi Guys - another image with data collected during the back end of '23... This is the Grus (quartet minus one) Trio. Comprised of 14hrs of data over 5 nights in August and September from my B7 backyard.

Stacking and LP gradient removal in APP, the rest of the processing in PI - and pesky colour-noise removed in LightRoom. Still felt like there was some detail there to be extracted but after a couple of attempts couldn't really improve my efforts so think I'll leave here there until I can get some more data next season!

Link to the bigger version here:

c14 non edge @f7 with the Starizona reducer LF
EQ8 pro
Asi2600mc pro gain 100 (no filter)
Asi220mm / Celestron OAG
ZWO EAF
ASIAIR+ / APP / PI / LR

Thanks for checking it out - and appreciate any comments or constructive criticism.
Cheers!

That's an amazing shot mate. You must be proud of it. So much detail.

That beast of a setup you’ve got really makes for some amazing space shots Dave - more over from the backyard- quite astounding as you must be delighted with the output.
Saying that you get what effort you put in and the acquisition coupled with fine processing makes for quality like this.
Galaxy’s show plenty of swirl colour and detail / background nicely tamed ridding the gradients - like this one a lot.

Thanks Trevor - yeah NGC 7552 lies a bit too far for most long fl setups. I think the framing looks nicer as a trio anyways!

Cheers Dean much appreciated! Yes I'm quite happy with the result and was surprised with the amount of colour that came through too. A nice surprise indeed

Thanks Anthony for your very generous comments I'm glad you liked it! It's always very challenging imaging from the suburbs but it is nice when you get a decent result given the oppressive LP noise and gradients. These modern processing tools really do make a difference!
