Sorry to hear about your loss Mike! A loss no parent should experience. Hope you and the family are going through this hard time together and supporting each other.

Thanks so much for the kind responses guys, I know it's not really the forum for such things but since 90%+ or so of my time since joining IIS in 2006, has been to the Deep Sky imaging section of the forum, it seems to be a place close to my heart at such a time and , well...I dunno and perhaps strangely, it just felt right

Mods please forgive me, I pray it will not happen again

Mike

Damn, just saw this Mike, sorry to hear of your loss. We only have the 1 son, couldn't imagine the hurt if we lost him, but I'm aware enough of the world to know it happened far too often. Yes at least you have your buddies and Astro distractions, but we understand if you're not as present here for awhile.

Mike - I’ve been away for a couple weeks and my heart just sunk when I saw this post. There aren’t really any words to do justice to what you’re feeling right now except to say our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Mike,

I only just saw the news. I'm unable to put into words my sadness for you both. A terrible thing.

I don't know what I could do to help, but if there is anything, let me know.

Sincerest and deepest condolences my friend...

I honestly don't have the words, and couldn't possibly imagine what you're going through.

I am certain you have plenty of people around you and your family for support etc - but if you need anything, to chat or just someone to listen... Feel free to reach out mate, any time, day or night...
