NGC 5139 - Omega Centauri

Another Omega Centauri



Askar 65PHQ, ASI533MM Pro.

R, G, B filters, 60sec x 90 frames, dithered and drizzled.
Pre- and post-processing in PixInsight.

Beautiful shot! It’s a stunning sight being able to capture 10 million stars in a single frame!! Nice star colours too

Thanks David and Mike. This was a bit of a test to combine a color image using the mono rig as well as to try some masking in PixInsight.

I am pretty impressed how much detail the little scope managed to pull. Was lucky as the seeing conditions in Canberra that night were pretty decent too.
