Cats Poor colour

Still testing the Askar (everything really).

About three hours, two minute subs, no darks or flats, using Luminance, red, ha,S11 and O11...and still trying to work out which positions S11 and O11 are in the filter wheel... so as with all my stuff we shall call it an artistic rendition...this time of The Cats Paw Nebula..I had to crop heavily because I made mistakes between nights framing...they say you learn by mistakes well I should be an expert at some point.

GEAR....Askar 130, ZWO Harmonic drive mount, ZWO 2600 mono, filter wheel and seven filters, EAF, smart phone..Deep Sky Stacker, Startools and Photoshop play around.
Although I have had this gear for a while I am still learning despite the interruptions from clouds and cancer but although I have no idea about the colour I am very happy with the detail the Askar is delivering and very happy with the ZWO mount and the guiding and all that Asiar Plus makes routine...when I think of the old days..drift align for polar, focus by guess work..finding the objects etc...but now all on the phone.

ANY help and guidance as to where I should direct attention to make some forward progress much appreciated...in other words after the nice praise we share around here to encourage each other perhaps point out where I am missing the point...

Alex I know you are colour blind but the whole nebula is green with magenta stars, tone down the yellow and cyan for starters as this brings out more red colour in the nebula as for the magenta stars invert the image and do a green rem0val then invert it again

Thanks Nik..I tried what you suggested but I just could not get rid of the green.but I made a difference....I know it's there by turning the saturation way up in the green channel in photoshop and it stands out..was better but finally I reprocessed in StarTools and mapped Ha to the red channel and the red stack to narrow band enhancement and left the green channel empty... that way I figured I would get rid of the green
Thanks again I appreciate the new ( to me) information.

Good job, Alex, of getting more yellow into into your lovely image. I prefer the yellow version and reckon you’re not far off achieving a more red image. I’m not familiar with Startools but it might have a ‘selective colour change’ function to gently tweak/alter colours (but requires masks). I occasionally use something similar in PI. Alex

Looks really nice Alex and the colour in repro version is great to my eye. If you boost the saturation a tad it may bring out more of the colour- but seriously it looking really nice well done!

Nice photo Alex! Mate, if unsure about your filter position post a colour pic of your wheel with the back off. I know its a pain but "we might" be able to determine them. If you want to. Also if you did not install them its pretty common to install them LRGBSHO. So L at number 1.

Alex,
Excellent Cats Paw
Well done !!
The repro Colour is really good, a typical SHO narrowband blend ( the saturated green is gone !!! )
Cheers
