Astrophotographs to tablet

hi all,
I do not know whether this question has been asked before,
looking for answers,
I do not know if this is possible,

Viewing through a telescope with Webcam,
is it possible to connect Webcam images to a tablet?,

if so, how to achieve a display on the tablet,
is there download program for this to be achieved

2nd question,

is it achievable to use a tablet for editing stored astrophotographs,

if so, how to achieve this,

or is a laptop the only means,

thank you in advance,
Peter,

Depends on the webcam, some are compatible with tablets and have specific apps that work through the tablet's wifi if you search around you might find some on amazon etc. Don't expect great quality though

Hi Peter - the short answer to what i think you are asking is "yes"

not sure what you mean by "webcam" but if you are talking about a dedicated astrophotography camera like a zwo - all that you have asked for comes out of the box with the zwo android/ios app.

if you are talking DSLR - many now have remote live view - i speak from experience with my Canons.

There are also many photo editing apps that can tune photographs - the zwo app does live stacking and a whole bunch of presentation tweaks...

hope this comes close to what you were after?

I bought my tablet years ago to use with my Asiair...but I did not use it for that when I found youtube funny cat videos...I now use my Mobil phone for Asiair ( runs four scopes all at once..fantastic thing) which leaves the tablet free to non stop deliver funny cat videos...why are cats so funny?

Anyways an Asiar Plus is a wonderful thing and will deliver photos to your tablet as you take them so why don't you look into their details and see if that could deliver what you want in relation to getting the images to your tablet.

Web cam days are long gone ( I shudder all the ones I played with) just buy a dedicated astro camera ...life is short so don't waste valuable time playing with a compromise...I compromised all my life and frankly it sucks...get the real deal or forget it..but the money you say ..when you give up on compromise you have more time to make money...there is plenty of money in the world and it is easy to get hold of...

On my tablet I have some very basis processing software and I expect there would be better stuff out there..try a search and let us know what you discover.

Alex
