A rare sight of something common

This is a scan of an 8x10 Glass film plate that I shot on the historic 60 Inch Telescope at Mount Wilson Observatory. Hoping to go back and get one of M42. All developed in George Ritchey's dark room!

A nice bit of history.

How our knowledge and technology have changed since those early days.

Cheers

Interesting to compare what can be achieved today with a 60" scope with conventional photographic methods. What year did you take this image?
