Sun today from Melbourne 8 February 2023

We woke to an unexpected clear morning so were able to capture some activity on the Sun. The average seeing was 3.3 arc seconds with a standard deviation of 1.0. While we were setting up we watched an M6.3 flare occur in AR3213. We were a little later in our images but the area was still very bright.
The full disk Ha image shows the remnants of the SE blast floating faintly just south of east.
The close up of AR3216 AR3215 AR3214 AR3209 AR3213 shows AR3213 as still quite bright. This image was taken at 23:17 and the flare was at it's maximum at 23:07 UT.
The drop off of the reference voltage in the seeing graph was due to the arrival of clouds.
