3.5m Sirius Dome

Samford Valley Observatory is closing its shutters as it is sea change and semi-retirement time and all the big stuff must go!

Offered for sale is a very luxurious manual 3.5m Sirius dome in excellent condition. It comes carpeted and equipped with custom desk in its single pod, any or all of the shelving inside as you wish and importantly has a hefty Wi-Fi controllable Aircon/dehumidifier to keep everything.

It actually breaks down to quite a small footprint for transporting but that dome is heavy when it is in one piece and does require some muscle to get it on and off. The custom Pegasus Pier is for an EQ8 can be offered as part of the sale but not included in the price below.

Observe in luxury, yours for $12,500

Hi Jonathan - nice observatory and gear! I also have a Meade SCT 14" and am looking for the following please:-
Dew strap for OTA
Losmandy DM-14 dovetail plate(s)
Bahtinov screen

Also any details on the Hyperstar conversion...

Hope you can assist and good luck with the retirement mate (and selling the dome!)
Cheers
Andrew

Thanks, the Hyperstar is the ultra-rare mkI version occasionally made for Meade 14" scopes!

As for the Bahtinov, I made mine from two A3 printed sheets, laminated and then sliced out the holes with a scalpel. I have only connected the sheets together at one end so it can wrap around the hyperstar cables - works very well.
