Pencil nebula widefield

Another part of the Vela supernova remnant with the Pencil Nebula (left) NCG 2736
3.5 hours of 600 second acquisitions
Astropixel processor, adding an O3 extracted luminance layer.
Cleaned up and processed further in Photoshop.
Optolong L-Ultimate filter
Askar FRA300 pro
ZWO asi 294mc Pro
ASIAIR Pro
Skywatcher neq6 pro

Gee that's a beauty Nik, I really like the composition and the contrasting colours between the Gum (?) nebula and the Pencil, the pencil looks like a paper plane, or jet, that's just flown out of the clouds, very cool

I really love it especially the flat field

Only issue is not the scope but the camera which undersamples at 300mm so I drizzle the images when stacking but the results are excellent

I love this framing Nik! Lovely detail through and the contrast between the pencil and the Ha region just sets the scene so nicely. Well done!
