17th Dec Solar images

A blue sky this morning, although a bit of wind.

The first image is at 540 nm to show the sunspots (81 mm WO refractor, herschel wedge, Canon 550d). Notice there is a new sunspot coming into view on the NE limb (arrow).

The other images are at H alpha wavelength 656 nm to show the prominences, flares, filaments etc. (Lunt 100 mm solar scope SS, Canon 550d camera).

All images are single exposures.

Thanks for viewing.
