Ha Sun images from Melbourne 31 August 2022

A quiet disk in Ha today now that the super proms have departed.

Full disk Ha images taken with Daystar Solar Scout 60 double stacked with Lunt 40 etalon, ASI178MM camera and 0.5 reducer.
Close up Ha images taken with 72ED, Solar Scout Quark and ASI178MM.

Great images as always. I got my little pst out yesterday for a quick look and although I think I was a bit late to the party for the big stuff was able to see a (significantly dimmer version) of the nice proms you’ve imaged!
