The Dragons of Ara have returned

Who doesn't like this part of the sky?
I'm not entirely happy with this one. A difficult image to process, and unfortunately cropped in more than I'd have liked due to mono images not lining up after clouds came in and messed things about.
Colour I found difficult to process, but for now it's finished.

Anyway, done for now.

268M + Antlia 3nm filters
Ha - 240s x 81
OIII - 240s x 60
SII - 240s x 60
Esprit 120 + 1x

Taken over two nights in B3 and B6/7 skies.

As always, a bigger version is posted here

such a good pic, especially the big one. tuned to perfection. Detail, colour balance all expertly processed. the antila 3nm filters look to be the ducks guts. 3nm gives you the best contrast for NB IMO.

A superb image. Not sure what you are seeing that needs improvement, it all looks perfect to me.

Ah thanks, Fred! Yes, these very narrowband filters sure do keep your images clean.

Ha, thanks Greg. We're our own worst critics sometimes. I wasn't sure about the colours, but they seem to be going down well. Plus I seem to have some severe tilt I need to fix. Not going to be a fun project, but will tackle it soon.

Phew, glad the colours are pleasing! That was one of the issues I had, but they seem be well accepted.
Thanks, Ryan

Thank you, Martin! What a lovely thing to say. I've got enough hobbies to keep me busy (and frustrated at times ), and one day I'll pony up to a bigger scope and start hunting galaxies. That's probably a while away though. Big scopes mean big mounts mean big money, d'oh.
