Pixel size does matter: An interesting article

I'm sure many are allready familiar with the Clarkvision website but I only came across it the other day and found this article of pixel size very enlightening. There is a certain amount of tech info there but not enough to swamp the non-techi. The only problem with the information is its making me itch for a 5D now

Interesting article, I'd love a 5D but at $4k approx it's hard to justify. IMO it's only a matter of time before the major players release a full frame DSLR in the $2K range, hopefully sooner rather than later.

There is no doubt the 5D is a great camera..the problem is there is not many telescopes that will support a full 35mm frame unless you go for a widefield refractor and that combined with a huge chip covers just too much of the sky to me...but if your into widefield imaging thats the way to go.

Even though I have gone for a 35mm chip myself is not suited to my 10" SCT scope and was really only purchased for value for money.
