Globular Cluster NGC6752

With over 100,000 stars and being the 4th brightest glob NGC6752 is a good imaging target.

This as taken some time ago and I noticed it when I looking through the "vault" of older unprocessed data. It looked like it was taken during a substantial moon some a lot of gradient handling here.

CDK17, QHY600M at 2x2 binning.

Nice rendition, Greg. It’s my favourite visual observing glob with my 140mm refractor.

Thanks Steve. I'll have to check it out visually as well.

Cheers Martin. Its also something you can capture quickly which has been important in the last year.

Thanks Mike. I recall your lovely AP152 version of this which was also a motivation to image it.

Greg.

Nicely done. Interesting how the image varied with the devices I viewed it with.

Blacks were crunched on my PC monitor, but my I-pad showed the background sky quite clearly (along with smidge of CMOS banding).

Great colours however in both.

I think I took this with a bright moon. It was a while ago.

Yes there is a little bit of CMOS banding, I noticed that too.

Thanks Pete. I might do a tour of the globs as there are quite a few. A pity we can't get M13 here very well.

Thanks John. You can tell if something is going to work out by looking at the intial downloads. Some images just pop straight off the camera.

Thanks Adam. It was a target when the moon was up and I was waiting for another target to rise.
