Using more than one filter simultaneously?

I have an Optilong L-extreme filter (used only once so far) and have just bought a UV/IR cut filter as that seems to be widely recommended. I know the L-extreme is only used for specific purposes such as emission nebulas, so should the UV/IR filter be used when the L-extreme is being used? Advantageous, neutral effect, or not recommended?

Sorry, I should have Googled this first. The L-extreme is a UV filter plus more ( I should have realised that) so using it with a separate UV filter is not necessary.

Please return to normal programming.

I have an L-extreme Frank and i believe it cuts ir/uv anyway, so you don't need to use one with this filter

Definitely don’t need it with the l-extreme but I have heard of people stacking a UHC and UV-IR filters to mimic an l-enhance equivalent band filter. The problem you have with stacking filters is reduced trasmissions and internal reflections so I’m not sure it would really do the same job.
