I get the flickering really bad on my home computer and not at all on my work computer.

Both LCD screens, both Internet explorer.

Can't see any problem with IE 6.0 on XP Pro or with Firefox 1.5 on Linux.

Hmmm. Well, I have no idea why it's happening with internet exploder. I'd fix it, if I could reproduce it. Sorry

So for the people with flickering screens: You can either see it as being incredibly annoying, or that IceInSpace gives you extra animation at no extra cost

If I run my cursor over the site menu really fast - the screen blacks out - all but the clock. Very interesting!

Cheers Petra

Yes, I can live with it!

Hey I think I've fixed it. yeah me Terry. Aint that a cack.

If you are suffering from screen flicker, then move your cursor over the birthday clock. If you curser turns into a hand icon, click on the clock. That fixed my flicker.

Damn but if I refresh the screen afterwards or go to another thread it comes back

But as soon as I click the clock again it's gone

This is currently a problem with lots of webpages. The problem is caused by the flash plug-in (here the clock). That ActiveX component has to be activated first to use (silly...). But I haven't seen this kind of effect before (looks like lightning, doesn't it...). It affects only Internet Explorer and Opera (at the moment). More information can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eolas#Browser_Changes

Or was it the balloons are no longer animated that fixed it?
