out on a limb...

hey, i never know when i am going to be able to go outside with my telescope... so when theres gale force winds and less than 50% cloud cover and i am avaliable, then i am out there!

after a poor effort or moretus (mike likes this one) i decided to get out ther tonight and see if donditions would allow less blurry pics. i tuned my collimation a bit further as it was way out last time and went hunting around the edges of the moon for anything worth taking a happy snap of.
the wind was gusting and the seeing was only 2/10 at the most most of the time (sometimes but rarely 3/10).... this said i am actually quite happy with some of these.

we have:
  • grimaldi to byrgius
  • gmaldi centered
  • pythagorus
and
  • xenophanes which i am particularly fond of for some reason
now all i need is good seeing...
feel free to coment

thanks go to those who provided barlows for image scale. you know who you are

Hi Dave

Wow - a very nice "living on the edge" portfolio. Great job.

Cheers

your lappy sounds like mine.. will do a weather check before we drive up

expecting a guest from America-an amateur from Washington who has written to WSAAG asking if he can be shown the Southern sights so I might also only be taking only my dob

now..no goto...will be really embarrasing if I cant find eta carina 4755 or Tuc 47
