NGC 5044 Galaxy Group

Back doing some galaxies again! Didn't realise how much I missed it. Scraped a few hours (just shy of 12) on this cute little group over the past week, mostly L with a 8x300 RGB. Lovely little group in Virgo that doesn't seem to get photographed too often.

Big one here

Really nice view there Lee. You do have me wanting to get into shooting galaxies more.

Really well done. Apart from the obvious big ones, there's a plethora of distant galaxies far, far away.

Yeah, I love imaging galaxies. Maybe if I were better at it I'd like shooting nebulae as much lol. Been doing a lot of nebulae lately but I've really enjoyed my last couple of galaxies.

That is a lovely shot of Markarian's chain. Galaxies are my favorite, because they make you realize just how big the Universe is.

Cheers
Peter

Thanks very much Peter, glad you like it This isn't Markarian's chain though, that's about 13 degrees further north and 1.5hrs off in RA.
