The OLD website, yes, fantastic. The newer one Steve brought in earlier this year, NOT so much, (actually pretty terrible), but there is a link to the old desktop website still which is good.

Alex was incredibly helpful in a previous IIS Classifieds sale, and supportive - if not downright inspirational - in my early attempts at astro outreach.
I hope there are enough hours in the day to sustain the wonderful service I recieved amongst all future customers . This store, and it's market share of the industry are in great hands. Due to Alex's excellent manner - may it's share, and the industry's size grow!
All the best

Thanks Carlton!
Yes, it took longer than I expected, with a few bumps along the way, but the new look Astro Shop is up and running
I'm looking forward to expanding the range of products and brands Astro Shop will offer, along with a few other new features that I hope people will find useful and rewarding in their astro experiences.
Alex.

If you read the note at the top of each product listing, it says these items are listed as "out of stock" are actually stocked or are special order, but because they require an individual freight quote these items are listed as such because at the moment the site does not have a freight plug-in that can give an on the spot freight quote.
There is also a note at the top of every page in the header that directs people to a note regarding "out of stock" items. Maybe read notes first?
I do realise that this is rather clunky at the moment, but for the time being this allows the site to be up and running while some aspects are sorted out. Not the perfect situation, but better than having no presence at all.
Items that are actually not in stock are not listed.
Alex.

There is a supply issue for the whole of the world. The Chinese new year holiday period had been extended, so orders that would have been processed during that period alone are now late, and when you add the backlog of orders from that same period, orders that have come in since, and manufacturing that had stopped and restarted (can be a complex and lengthy situation to shut down and restart factories), plus the restrictions on the movement of people, and everything has got it in the neck.
And yes, it has affected astro supplies too, and not just mounts. What I cannot get a hold of but would normally be listed is not posted on my website. Please remember that what is noted as "out of stock" is only because it requires a separate freight quote. These items are available, and even picked up from in-store (with prior arrangement and without freight charges).
Alex.

Hi Alex you're best replacing "out of stock" by a "contact us" button linking to the feedback form or people will assume you have nothing available. Out of stock is generaly regarded as not available.

Jeremy and Marc, thank you for your feedback. It spurred me on to find a different solution, which I now have implemented

I believe Alex is trying to resolve the 'clunky' issue with using the 'out of stock' label to denote that customers need to contact him to get a freight quote on bulky/heavy items...
Chatting with him the other day he mentioned that Wix were trying to help him with a solution but, messed a few things up...
I suspect he'll be back up online very soon...
