gee i want to try this with better seeing!!!
taken under apauling conditions. morteus (center), with gruemberber and its adjoining cysatus.
taken with 8" and lpi with 2 stacked 2x barlows....
gawd, it bloomin awful! sorry to have to subject your eyes to it, i hope they dont bleed

Hey David
Wow - your libration angle is worse that mine, which in itself was worse than Zac's. These images have been quite a revelation for me as I previously thought that libration only produced minor effects.

Err...well...yes and no, or not quite the full truth here. Your image shows a poor libration for the southern limb, although if you had imaged the northern limb, it would be good libration at that limb.
Confusing isn't it.

Libration is a funny thing, I captured something on teh north pole the other night thanks to favourable libration. It looked very interesting, never seen it before and i'm looking forward to processing it.

did you convert to greyscale? lots of people seem to do that with lunar images, makes them for some reason look better

yeah i am looking to more too
its not converted to grey scale. but it was only a quick process too... maybe i'll have another go at it, but it like flogging a dead horse, the avi is really poor
