Where's the LCD display to show what shooting mode, ISO, size etc you are in... Don't tell me they overlay that info on the preview LCD screen... That would seroiusly suck!
I still like my 300D old school
Cheers

So what's different about it, from the 350D?
Apart from the 10.1 mp, it looks fairly similar. I like the idea of the self-cleaning sensor (no more dust!)
And how much will it be?

Hmm, 10.1 would be nice. But I think I'll be waiting for 12+. The 8mp size of the 350D is my only problem with it - resulting in lower resolution images than I used to get with film. But I don't think 10.1 would be a big enough difference to "make the difference".
Roger.

I agree Roger, I think 12mp would be required before I'd be tempted to upgrade.

me too, I recall reading you need 11+MP (and some $$$$s) to get film resolution.

Interesting, pretty much the same price bracket as the 350D, but with the bigger sensor.
I guess the 350D is likely to drop in price by a few hundred as well.

Just hope the software doesnt confuse stubborn dust particles as faint diffuse, or lower mag stars,,,All those lovely globulars would look like one huge star.. unles of course theres a menu item hidden in a substructure of step down menus, that says ,,,turn this feature off damn it ... ...

But then ,,thinking about that ,,,If it could remove the milky way, ??... that would be worth while for DSO hunters wouldnt it ?...? Also 500 model is proported to being able to see 15 mag stars, and track them on its huge image sensor with 100,000,000 pixels and crop the image to compensate for exposure time and required zoom, software takes care of field rotation. "Park and Shoot" Not really just made it up... LOL,,, I guess it will happen , and probably soon ,,,:>(
Takes the fun out it , yes / no ?

I got the impression that the dust thing was some way of actually physically removing the dust, by some electromagnetic shock or something
I didn't get the impression it took it's own flat field.
