A bad Veil Image

Couldn't take it any more, even with my sore back, I was dying to do some imaging the other night, especially since Striker was threatening to put me out of my misery.
I was too sore to be imaging, I didn't get good polar alignment and there was a very strong breeze but I wanted to share with you this image of the Veil East (NGC 6992).
In imaging things don't always work out according to plan.

This is a 90 sec exposure, I haven't bothered to stack the rest.

Hey Andrew...we would have been stoked with a result like this 12 months ago.

How our expectations change.

Nice colour. It's a shame about the trailing but hey it's better than nothing! I have no Veil image at all!

Roger.

Exactly Tony, just goes to show you how IIS et al has helped us all to lift our game.
We've all learnt from each other and helped each other to advance.
It's funny to look through some "old" astro books (circa 1996-8 ) and see how amateur astro imaging has advanced.
