Test of Samyang 135 f2

Hi all,

I just recently purchased a Samyang 135 f2. I did some tripod shots that looked promising. Last night, I was doing something else on another scope but set up and put the 135 on a Losmandy Starlapse tracker, unguided and shot with
  • aperture wide open 135mm @ f2
  • 12 x 60s subs driven by intervaloimeter
  • Pentax K1 at ISO 1000
  • Median averaged in Photoshop.

The tracking isn't perfect but it looks like the lens is pretty good right to the corners. When I put it on a better quality mount, I'll post some more definitive results.

I bought the lens when it was on a . decent discount a couple of months ago.

Joe

Looks good Joe

I'm impressed that it's good to the corners on a full frame when wide open.

That looks really good Joe. Nice pic.

I've had some very pleasing results with mine but I've noticed it also seems very sensitive to focus.
