Ngc 2997 zwo asi 071 pro

Its been a while. I don't usually image during summer. It gets dark to late.
Here is the latest image I took in January.

NGC 2997 is a face-on unbarred spiral galaxy about 25 million light-years away in the constellation Antlia. NGC 2997 is particularly notable for a nucleus surrounded by a chain of hot giant clouds of ionized hydrogen. Seen face-on, NGC 2997 looks similar to M83.

I thought the Black Hole was normally at the center of the galaxy.

Looks great to me.
I like what can be done with a 6 inch ...I used to run a six and I was very happy with it..wore it out actually ans only went eight inch rather than remirror etc the six.
I like the little gallaxy top left.

Detail in the main Galaxy is good plus there are a number of fainter ones in the field

Hi Mike

Yes I know there is a dust artifact. I know how to do flats. But for some reason it failed to remove the artifact.

Ok, if the dust mote is strong, sometimes you may need to adjust the length of your flat to get it removed properly.
