Not sure why I bothered with this as it's probably a pointless exercise. I was curious to see how an unbinned image would look using my STXL16200 and 36.8 cm F9 RCOS scope. Such a setup of course is grossly over sampled. The result was better than I expected and it's quite a reasonable Helix nebula if a bit noisy. The seeing was only average.
Thanks M&T. I'm still working on it and got some more data last night. I was going to see how it looked in Hubble palette but determined that was a waste of time because the amount of SII emission was essentially zero so in the end I got a few hours more OIII. When the moon goes away I'll add RGB stars.
