New 850nm infra red filter

Hi all
Heres an image from my place with my 850 nm IR pass filter that arrived today. Being a modded 350D, I can shoot IR handheld. AF sort of works out in the sun but not 100% accurate, best by trial and error manual focussing.

haha way cool Scott. Because my 350D isn't modded, I have to use a tripod and an exposure of 4+ seconds, and focusing is guesswork.

Nice shot.

Wow that is an interesting effect! madness! reminds me of Canada in
the middle of winter, except they did a real good job snow ploughing the
roads, and the lawns too!

thanks for posting!

regards,CS

Heres 2 more IR pics. The mountains in the lake pic are some distance away, yet the IR makes them look closer.

Thanks.
Here's some more images, taken from Mt Sugarloaf today, (wind howling on the pinnacle lookout) using the 50mm f1.8 and an old manual focus 300mm F5.6 FD lens with a FD to EOS adaptor.

Jees Scott...wow! The lake/mountain shot, the two tree shots (2 & 7) and the tower shot are simply stunning. Awesomely eerily beautiful. I'd hate to have to pick a winner though the undershot of the gum tree (2) is mesmerizing.
