Wish this thing would hurry up and blow up!

A colourful Eta Carina Nebula this morning from Rigel Observatory. Lovely and cool at 22c while I was catching subs between clouds. First time I've imaged it with the 10".

GSO 10" F4 Newtonian, Baader MPCC MKIII, Baader Semi-Apo filter, 73 x 30 seconds unguided on a HEQ5 Pro, Pentax K-5.

That's the one! The Semi-Apo filter often has a nice range of OIII and Ha. How the other colours come about I'm not too sure. With the CLS the whole thing turns red, which is a bit boring. With no filter, boring again, it's all bluish.
