Hi Shano, I dont usually install fans for love or money,( I hate them with a passion ) but somehow my Son had a list as long as his arm for me to complete over the weekend. Whats a laugh though, when I got home and tried to relax on the Monday....my own Water heater split and leaked everywhere under my house. Oh well, I didnt need a rest anyway....

Hi All
Is anyone up for a few days up at Bretti around 28th to 30th of October. I know Allan had talked about Coolah maybe in October, but I can only get these days and did not want to travel too far from my daughter at this stage. Just seeking out interest for now and is dependent on weather of course. Cheers Rick

I might be interested Rick, but have some complications. I think that Allan had plans for that weekend at Coolah, and I believe there is mobile coverage at his place (but I could be wrong), which might be easier to stay in touch with your daughter (unless you have a Sat phone of course). Your right that Bretti is closer, at least by the driving distance calculator i used, by 100kms, from my place. let's see what happens.

Very very keen.
In south Australia at the moment but will be Back 24th or 25th.
Already spoke to Jakob about possibly these dates.
I too need to be back by 1 Nov.
Jakob is keen.
Was Waiting for word from Allan (other) before posting for interest.

Just in case anyone is at a loose end and fancies a longer trip, I'm hoping to make it to somewhere around the Warrumbungles for New Moon, weather permitting of course. I'd be looking for no less than 3 clear nights to make the trip worthwhile. Company is always welcome

G'day guys. I'm at Coolah now, working on the place again. For those who saw it back when I first bought the place, it won't be recognisable anymore. But I still have plenty more to do before I'm finished.
This coming new moon has turned into a problem because of some changes to my roster. I'm still going to make a flying visit to get a night or two of observing done, but that's about it this time around.
I plan to get here on Sunday afternoon on the 30th and leave on Tuesday. Feel free to drop in on your way to or from other spots if that works.
I'll be here most new moons, so there will be plenty of chances for extended observing later on. Plus, it will only get better here as time goes by and I get the place sorted.

Thanks for that update Allan on Coolah, will be looking forward to seeing what you have done down the track a bit. For this new moon though I can not make those days, but will probably go to Bretti as I had planned. I am planning on leaving Friday morning and coming home Monday morning. Hope weather plays fair. Cheers Y'all.

I may possibly be able to squeak a night in to Bretti.
Jury will be out until later next week, though. Work is starting to ramp up.

Daughter interested in telescopes
Hi there I live in North Avoca and my daughter told me the other day she is interested in looking at the stars and planets.
I'm interested in coming along to one of the night events for star gazing.
What is involved and who should I contact?
Thanks
Iain
