I was browsing a few old issues of 'Sky and Telescope' and found that most interesting things are the advertisements. I attach an example and challenge readers to guess the year.
Popular Astronomy Magazine August 1948 also published the Fecker 15" cassegrain for sale and the Queen's University in Kingston Ontario, Canada was using a 1959 vintage Fecker 15" cassegrain.
My immediate thought was 1950's, but a closer look at the dress and I'm going for late 60's early 70's to me
Don't keep us in suspense too long :-)

The answer is June 1960 (cover image attached) although on checking the March 1959 edition, the same ad is in that issue too so Suavi is correct. It probably also appears in issues from other years around that time.

At least my rhoughts of the 1950s was in the right decade!
