Have been using this as my main lens on my D700 for a few years now but have more recently decided to move into prime lens. It is a great lens that I have been very happy with but when it comes to astrophotography it is a bit of a downer. Then again, there probably aren't a huge amount of zoom lens' that are.
The lens itself is in excellent condition, comes in original packaging with paperwork and whatnot. Also comes with a Hoya HD 77mm UV Filter which has been taken off twice for cleaning over the years, keeps the real "lens" protected
Cost me some $1,800 (~$1,650 for the lens). Selling for $1,100 + postage.
