Just did another stack of 1200 frames. Eliminated all but 386 frames. 75% gain & 15% gamma & I've got onion rings

If you have got onion rings, my whole observatory would soon be filled with the eye watering vapor. Jupiter must be pulsing like ............................... any way like something that is pulsing, what ever that is.

Just went out to check the star twinkle, couldn't detect any above 40 degrees, (what ever that means) will check again in 20 minutes to see if its getting better or not.

Just stacked another one, same scenerio. Respectable details but with one big onion ring going 3/4 of the way around the circ. of jupiter.

Nothing to be done really. If I go above 80% gain & go quicker exposure time it will kill it but at the expensive of having a grainy final.

Seeing rulez!

I just restacked that 2nd AV. I've got what I would say good detail. The one onion can be proccessed out by darkening the limb of the planet.

Give it a shot Lester, even though I can't detect it with the eye (yet) the seeing is slowly getting better. After saying that it could suddenly turn & get a lot worse!

Wish I could upload this pic & show you but I'm on the other computer at present.

Good luck & good onion killing
