First NB image, Eagle nebula
i am really pleased with how this one turned out. i collected 27 hours of data on this but only used a small fraction of that, i am really struggling with poor seeing conditions. but for a first NB image, i am a happy man.

Looking good Aidan, nicely resolved and looks pretty sharp. I assume you didn't use most of your data due to poor FWHM?

Thanks Colin.
yeah pretty much, though the FWHM figures were not a reliable indicator of the actual image quality.

Thanks George, it almost feels like a completely different type of imaging, different skills required to get the colour balance right.

Ah ha! Someone else has popped their NB cherry!
Good stuff Aidan - a nice, though maybe somewhat understated (IMO), result.
Cheers, Marcus

More luminosity I think and if it starts to look a little washed out, more sats. Colours look fine.

That's way, way better than my first NB image Aidan! Definitely a good start. A few things to work on with the stars but you are certainly headed in the right direction.
Cheers

That's a cracker! Especially for a first NB effort. Nice work. I particularly like the palette.
