Hi,

Nice galaxy you have captured but I do see some issues that could make the image much better.

First off did you take any flats, I can see some dust bunnies and you have a gradient going from light background at the top to a dark background at the bottom.

Secondly the colour balance is not right, most galaxy central cores are yellow, and the star colours are all washed out.

If you can get a flat field then you will not need to stretch so much and then colour balance will be easier.

Flats are just as important as lights, more so than darks or bias.

If you keep the optics clean and don't change the camera orientation you can re-use a master flat over and over.
I have two sets of master flats, one set for the CCD chip aligned with RA and another set with the CCD chip aligned with DEC.
