Saturn

Conditions were decreasing as Saturn closed in on the Zenith around 'ere lastnight, tho fun was still had from this casual capturer.
Meade 12", 2x, qhy5L II C, 10% of 2,000 frames

Have you applied sharpening/deconvolution? If not, give it a go, you might be surprised how it might turn out.

Yes on sharpening in both RStax & PS CS3
No havent got Decon literally, but do use similar application in PS ?

This is what my stack looks like (only a jpg version) if helps to put processing in perspective, not to mention - Im only dabbling in planets from time to time, , interested in any advice all the same !
Can Pm and email the Tiff stack (1.3Mb 640x480) if want a go at it - id find that really interesting

Nice image. Saturn in zenith? Lucky you. Here Saturn Ccimbs only ten degrees above the horizon....
