Gone Flying

Well it's bucket list time.
No, I'm not Ill or dying, well probably and hopefully only slowly for the later
With working full time Arvo shift for well over a year now the Astronomy has taken a back seat as it's very hard to get good weather at weekends only and then it's usually a bloody full moon. I think I've only had the gear out twice this year so far so I needed to find something else to keep the mind active.
Flying is something I've wanted to and should have done thirty or more years back but always told myself it was too expensive and the wife would always talk me out of it, I reckon I could have done it five times over with the money I've spent on other hobbies in the mean time

Did a lot with friends in various planes and gliders over the years but now it's under way for real and having a ball.

Will still drag out the Astro gear when the opportunity arises but it looks like I'll be Arvo shift for the next couple of years so it gives me plenty of time to fly through the week being home during the day.
The flying club is fifteen minutes from home with two very nice little sport Aircraft so it's all good.

So that's what you been up to!! I did lessons when I was living in Portland years ago. Heaps of fun, just very exxy! Makes astronomy look cheap.

Cheers
