Jupiter Oval BA March 21st

Imaged Jupiter March 21st, have good coverage of the region either side of Oval BA. The GRS had just crossed the P limb at the start of the session. Have reasonable level of detail, particularly in 685nm IR, The orange ring around Oval BA is well resolved in RGB.

Regards
Trevor

Nice resolution Trevor.
I can't seem to get a good shot of Jupiter from Melbourne ...still too low in the sky I think.
Cheers

Hi Trevor,
That a great set of shots. What that darker cloud called? Do you know? I picked it up in my images on the same night too

Thanks Domenic, along the South edge of the NEB those dark features are "Plumes". John Rogers text on Jupiter tells us that they generally seem to be spaced at about 24 to 35 degree intervals and can last for a few years.

Thanks Maurice, Jupiter is coming back further South each year now so will be much higher in a couple of years time.
