M4 Thread Question

Hi,

I don't have a screw pitch gauge. Can anyone tell me whether the M4 screws that commonly attach dovetail plates to focusers are 0.7 coarse or 0.5 fine pitch?

Thanks,

Neil,

Normal or coarse M4 has .7mm pitch and I have never came across a fine pitch M4 in all my engineering years.

cheers,
Stefan

I have a bunch of M4's. They appear to be 0.7.

M3's are usually 0.5
