Galaxies in collision NGC6872/IC4970 and a few faint fuzzies

Hi Guys,

Decided to take something abit more interesting. Here's two galaxies in collision NGC6872 and IC4970. Also managed to take a few other smaller galaxies around it.

Both consist of 12 x 84 second exposure stacked. I've also attached a pic from hubble for a clearer image

Love the last one with so many of them. Imagine how awsome that's going to look in the wider and higher-res field of the DSLR!

Great work Eric.

I love images showing a background of multiple galaxies against a foreground of stars.

However, you might want to rename your galaxies. You were more zoomed in than you thought you were

See attached screenshots from CDC which shows the FOV of your second shot

Great images. I found the red text a little hard to read on the black, but the actual galxies - great. Good to see a nice collection in the one FOV too.

Roger.

Wow Eric,

Looks a bit busy up there, galaxies everywhere. Excellent shot. This would rate as one of my favourites of your photos.
