DSS beta acting weird

Hi, trying for the fifth time tonight to stack some DSLR frames - for the only time since having the beta version and same camera etc DSS will register and stack till it gets to the end then a little traffic cone pops up and says caution or danger or ? - then it goes back to starting all over again.
its not overly onerous-30 subs, 30 darks, 30 bias and 30 flats.
?help

DSS brain fart

OK Windows 7, the beta version for Canon60Da. Worked fine a couple of nights ago. Now goes through registration and stacking Ok then at the end just says warning and that's it. Got to be new windows update thats screwed it up as it was perfectly fine before.
Please help.

DSS has done that to me for about 3 years. Or would tell me out of memory (on a 12GB RAM system at the time - now more - that was rich!). Then it wouldn't stack properly, or not detect any stars (in a shot of M8, not finding stars is like not finding a fat guy at McDonalds).

I gave up on DSS. Yes, it is free, but it is a headache IMHO.

Went to CCDStack. Had VERY few issues. Worth every cent. BLISS.

Cheers for that.
CCD stack does Raw ? OK will give it a go.
what bugs me is that it worked fine last week. Nothing has changed but the scope.

CCDSTack will stack RAW, OSC fits and mono fits.

Just remember, ALWAYS debayer (convert to colour) the OSC / DSLR shots PRIOR to alignment. ALWAYS.

DSS issues

So I rebooted my lappie to a calender reboot last week (when it was working) , then re loaded DSS beta
Tried again - still the same. It gets to the very final point when it says its computing final image then the little yellow triangle with an ! in it and Deep sky stacker written next to it- that's it. You click on it and it goes away but there is no image and no explanation for why it failed.
I have stacks of memory and I have no idea why it should suddenly start doing this.

Dss

I think that was it- I went through and found that drizzle was selected - I tried again afterwards with 33 subs, 12 darks and 12 flats and 12 bias and -------- it worked!!
I have no idea how I clicked that as I have never used it before.
Doh!

Lucky you. My DSS would sometimes work, sometimes not with the same error (or lack thereof) like you Graham, and I did not change settings between. Sometimes if I restarted DSS, it would work, sometimes not.
