They are convenenient for sure, but I check each invoice carefully as they've overcharged on so many occasions it's not funny.

AND, - that price promise of theirs is a joke.

On one occasion, I needed a pressure relief valve for my Rheem and knew I could get the exact same thing for $66 from another place. Bunnies price was $109 so I asked them to honour their promise.

They kept me waiting for over half an hour while they did their endless checks, only to tell me in the end that they wouldn't do it.

Fuming, off I went to the other outlet, and hey presto it was cheaper by about $8 than they'd quoted over the phone.

So I'm always very wary of this price promise crap they peddle on TV. It's one thing to broadcast it, - but quite another to actually honour it.

Rant over

I never bother with price matching. Whenever I'm buying something I will ask once for their best price and whoever gives me the best deal up front is the place I will deal with. I shouldn't have to beg and bleed for a retailer for them to maybe drop their prices. Give me your best price the first time or don't bother is my motto.

I went there yesterday to look for a 5/16ths cobalt drill bit. They had one - $27!!!! (seriously, WTH?)

Went to local Mitre 10 - same drill bit, same packaging, same brand, same everything - $12.35

More Bunnings craziness - they are opening up a new store here on the Sunshine Coast - a whopping 1 km from the other one! Drove past the new one just today. You can SEE the stupid Bunnings balls on poles of the other one from the new one!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if they will close the old one down, or run them both simultaneously (probably), but I will undoubtedly have Double Houghy Syndrome - 2 Bunnings light cones to deal with.
