I,m sooo bored!!! Thors Helmet repro.

Boy the weather has been lousy!!!

Managed a whole 4 minutes last night before the clouds rolled in.

So here's another repro.
Thor's helmet, don't think a can squeeze any more out of this image. There's more faint background nebulosity evident in this rendition. Handled the stars a little better this time, still difficult to control.

Here's a link to the original.

Cheers,

Justin.

That's lovely, and yes better.

Weather was fine when I set up the scope tonight, but like you got 10 minutes and now cloud.

I think somewhere in between both would work really well. There are positive aspects to each image. I some of the colour in the first image and like the stars in this one.

The cloud is getting a little monotonous Justin. Average clear nights have gone from once a week to once a fortnight-three weeks now. So I am like you, getting bored. I did install a weather station yesterday at home; just to keep me interested.

Thanks for your input Paul!

I've been spoiled the previous two winters, making up for it with plenty of cloud and not much rain.
Mind you had some clear moon filled nights.

Cheers,

Justin.

I'm putting my full spectrum Nikon back into astro next clear full moon for Ha. Just need to get an interval timer for it.

Great image Justin.

4 minutes - luxury! I haven't taken my scope out for 3 weeks now.

Nice one Justin. Thor's helmet is quite small isn't it???? You've picked up some nice detail and colour.
