What a zoom-in ! A very nice way of show-casing interesting detail. Very sharp and well processed. Perhaps a little more exposure if ever the clouds went away. Nicely done.
Certainly has a cloud-like appearance Marc. Nice round stars, sharp detail. What F ratio is the C11 with Hyperstar??
Cheers,
Tim
Thanks Tim. F/2 with the hyperstar, F/10 otherwise. This was at F/10. The wider field was done at 800mm FL on a GSO8" F/4.

Thanks mate. It's been challenging to image in Sydney too. Very wet for the season.

Thanks Mike. Now I have the scope sorted out I have to focus on longer subs and improve guiding so next stage will be to polar align a little better and dust off the AO.
Thanks Bob. That was 30x3min between 19:15 and 21:00, Friday 26th. 2.8m FL.
Cheers Marc, Im hoping to image with the 12" SCT down the track, not sure how will go tho. Only a Color QHY10 with LP filter, and at the brighter regions, Also liking the PN's turning up of late ?
Thanx for your image stats

No worries. I suspect you won't be affected by LP at that FL, not much gradients to deal with, due to the narrow fov. You need to be on top of your guiding though. OAG is a must or you'll get flexure. Polar alignment becomes quite important too, unfortunately.

Great to know thanx Marc, speshly the OAG, dont have much spare 'weight capacity' for a guidescope anyway..
Nice Image again there, speshly with this type of set-up/arrangement by the sound

Good detail. Well done.

Thanks Trevor. I really like this DSO. There are loads of interesting bits and pieces around Ara. I'm hoping to do more at that FL if the weather plays ball. Maybe some Oiii too, once I've ironed out all the bugs.
