Lacerta OAG for Canon EOS

For sale is a Lacerta Off Axis Guider (OAG) for Canon EOS. This OAG is very low profile, and can be used instead of a T-ring whilst still maintaining a backfocus of 55mm, which is required for many field flatteners and coma correctors.

This is a high quality item, with zero flex, considered by many as the best OAG for Canon. Certainly this is the recommendation by Guylian Rochon (creator of Backyard EOS) - see post 12 of this cloudynights thread

Also included is a T2-1.25" adapter, which allows the use of this OAG with a QHY5L-II guide cam. This is the setup I have been using and I have never had any trouble whatsoever in finding a guide star.

I have used this OAG with my Canon 1000D on a Vixen VC200L to great effect. I am selling because I have recently acquired a mono CCD which has an integrated guide cam.

Photos show how this OAG attaches to a Canon DSLR. The prism does not in any way obstruct the light path to the main sensor. (Please note that the DSLR shown is not included with the Lacerta OAG but is available separately for sale, see here)

Teleskop Service sell this item for approx 200 euro including postage to Australia (see here)

My price: $199 including postage within Australia
