Thanks Bruce! I've used DSLRs and CCDs and I think it's really the case that the better deepspace photos will always come from CCDs. I tried each on the same targets for the same integration time with the same optics and the CCD data was just miles ahead. Brighter, better dynamic range, and a lot less noise with cooling. You'll never go back
