Kingfisher from 40 metres TEC110FL and Sony A7r

I used to use a Canon 40D on my TEC110FL and get some great shots. Bokeh with this scope is to die for and sharpness is amazing.

So I attached my 36mp Sony A7r which has no anti aliasing filter and is one of the highest res cameras around to see how it went.

The bird was about 40 metres away.

Thanks Ron. I liked the Canon 40D shots I got with this scope. This Sony camera has greater resolution and wider dynamic range plus superb manual focusing aids like focus peaking and magnified view in the electronic viewfinder which helps (with a static bird, not one in flight though).

Greg.

Thanks Trevor. Yes I am happy with that. I am trying to get some more but the birds don't always cooperate!
