My Wife & I looked again Sunday night. It was better but still nothing to brag about, then without warning one beauty apeared from the horizon, was bright and just cruised across the sky & over our head. It seemed lower but I know that's just an optical illusion, It was FANTASTIC. After a few little one went over it turned windy so we went to bed.
Saw 5 Sunday night between 1130 and 0030, three were Geminids and 2 not Geminids. First one was very bright but not Geminids as it was near the horizon Going straight down in the East. Two of the Geminids were in the Orion constellation near Betelgeuse right over head but seem to radiate from Castor.
Tonight just spotted two between 0000 and 0015. Bright streak under Procyon and one just a spot flare between Procyon and Alhena.
Bit cooler tonight nice cool breeze keeping mozzies at bay.
It was good to catch a few b4 bed, clear my head of all the news today. Been hearing of it all day and whole family glued to the news all evening. I pray that all will be over soon and peacefully, and no one especially the hostages is hurt.
With a bit of a break in the weather out here in Western Qld, i did an impromptu Astronomy night up till about 9:15pm and saw just 1 geminid rising up from the radiant just behind the trees. Saw lots of sporadic's though !
Here is a stack of the Gems detected via video from Singapore. A total of 64 Gems were seen from 10 pm till the next day 6am. I have attached two composite pictures here.
From Brisbane between 12 - 4 am, I got 34 including two really bright fireballs with 15 degree long tails.
At one stage I got 6 in 10 mins.

It was a great night . I got out the popcorn & played space tunes the whole night off my playlist (quietly).
As Greg was saying, they were coming in waves. You could almost predict the lulls.
